Sausage Party is an upcoming 2016 American 3D adult computer animated comedy film directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, produced by Megan Ellison and Vernon, and written by Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. It stars Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton and Salma Hayek. It is the first animated film to be rated R since Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters and the first CGI-animated movie to receive the rating.
The film follows a sausage who tries to discover his existence and goes on a journey with his friends to escape their fate. Its rough cut premiered on March 14, 2016, and will be released in the United States on August 12.[4] It is a spoof of Disney, Pixar andDreamWorks Animation films
